Happy New Year
My New Years resolution for 2011 is to finally finish scanning all my negative, processing all my undeveloped film, and to go through all my digital images that I haven't done anything with. I am trying to get started a little early so here is a picture I took back in August. Projection onto nude body. Enjoy! Happy New Year!!!

Fear Project: Behind the Scenes
Wow, I haven't updated this blog in a million years or so. Well that doesn't mean I haven't been busy. For the last 4 months I have been working hard on mastering the 4x5 view camera for a new project involving fears. The large camera has added an interesting twist to my process, but the images that result from it are so detailed and beautiful. There has been a lot of set building and convincing some of my amazing friends to let me put them in some very interesting situations to make this project happen but it is coming along great.
Here are some behind the scenes shots from a few. It is really hard not to show off my final images, but I am trying to keep them to myself right now and work on getting either a gallery show or putting a book together, or maybe both! Keep in mind, my final images will be in black and white and not color.

Here is my boyfriend Justin, doing what he does best, helping me with all of my lighting needs. This scene will turn into a fear of people/things under the stairs.

Testing out the fog! Perla's roommate was amazing enough to stick around and help us with the shoot, he became our human fan and directed the fog where we needed it to go!

Here is me playing in a hole in my floor, trying to create the hole that leads to hell.

And of course clowns, because I got a million or so people when I conducted my survey of what people are scared of that responded with clowns.
If you have any fears that you think should make it into this series, please do share them. I am still working hard on this project and would love some new suggestions!

Behind the Scenes
I have often been told that I need someone else following me around with a camera to document myself and my models during photo shoots. I won't lie, for those luck enough to encounter me when I am running around the city with models, I am sure it is a sight to be seen. I know I have an amazing time and I generally wake up with sore muscles in my stomach from laughing so hard at the weird situations we end up in to get the best shots.
For my photo shoot at Sauvie Island last week, we were lucky enough to have the fabulous Michael Jared DiMotta to do just that. For those interested, here is what was really happening to get those shots you saw last week. Enjoy, and yes wonder woman panties are important for every photo shoot :)
How could we pass up an amazing reflection shot as we crammed the balloons into the trunk of my car.

Just another day at the beach

A little Romie and Michelle for ya

Sauvie Island Portraits
Here are the rest of the set from my photo adventures with the oh so beautiful Juliet. Huge thanks to Alix Zimmermann for the amazing hair and makeup and to Mike for skipping out on work for a few hours to soak up some sun and play in the water. Besides without Mike, who would have captured pictures of my amazing Wonder Woman underwear that were showing to all of Sauvies Island when we were playing in the water. Maybe I will show you those pictures someday....maybe...
